LBJ looking a lil sensitive…
by The Low on Jul.08, 2009, under Thoughts and Observations
This is a hilarious story. Lebron is apparently like the Darth Vader of basketball. He even has stormtroopers to retrieve the stolen transmissions…
Turns out, there were at least two cameras rolling Monday night when Crawford dunked on James during a pick-up game here at the LeBron James Skills Academy. It was a two-handed jam, the kind that would’ve circulated quickly on YouTube. But Nike officials eliminated that possibility shortly after the dunk happened by allegedly confiscating tapes from various cameramen.
Which then resulted in this picture ending up on the internet…hilarious:

Is it just me or does anyone else resent the idea that taking away something you love will make it better?
I’m really tired of this argument and I wonder sometimes how anyone who feels this way can honestly claim they love basketball. Sure, the ticket to improve something you really love is to get rid of it or whittle it down so there’s a lot less of it. Genius!
I seriously doubt anyone who “loves” the game of basketball (particularly NBA basketball) pines for less of it. As a matter of fact, it always seems that the individuals calling for less of the NBA are somehow around the game, but you always get the sense that there’s no real love for the game. It just exists for them. No one who LOVES the NBA thinks this way.
The league itself has done enough to crap up the game…including, but not limited to: (continue reading…)

Well, after watching the Pistons take another beating at the hands of the hated Cavaliers, there’s really only one course of action:

From the ‘What not to watch on a bad day’ file…

Yesterday after having a incredibly bad day at work. I made the foolish mistake of coming home to watch Seven Pounds (Will Smith).
Good God! While a very interesting and well done film in my opinion, you must only watch this film on GOOD DAYS.
I swear I almost wanted to jump in the (spoiler) take my self out after watching this film….damn.
Well done by all involved, but this movie is NOT good for the soul…lol.
Grrrr…

Crappy day today, however the Pistons did actually surprise me and take care of business last night in sending the Magic home in 5. Didn’t see that one coming…..and apparently neither did my video capture machine which once again failed to start when programmed therefore forcing me to again only catch the last quarter of a game. Goddamn technology sucks sometimes. The thing’s binary for God’s sake…it’s either on or off…how in the hell do you just work one day and take a crap the next?
Is it just me or does anyone else wonder how a goddamned computer, which should the most consistent thing on earth because all it has to do is follow a linear set of instructions…is more inconsistent than humans who screw things up all the time? Hell, I have family I can’t count on for anything, but I damn sure know I can count on them to be obnoxious, loud, late, or any other number of things that would make a computer pale in comparison with regard to consistency.

How in the hell does ONE BIKE GLOVE just vanish???!!!!
The Big Man Goes West Again
by The Low on Feb.11, 2008, under Thoughts and Observations
Well, well, well. Once again, an NBA team has decided to ship the most dominant big man in the game away in hopes of building around another Jordan figure.
I’m completely amazed at the NBA GM’s ability to so quickly toss aside the presence of a solid center year after year after year. At least this time there is a general consensus that the “star” is not to blame. No body holds Wade responsible for the deterioration of the Miami Heat. Unlike Kobe Bryant, Wade’s displeasure was at least masked by his thinly veiled commentary, Fav Five spots, and being wheeled off the court, in tears, in a wheelchair a la James Brown’s famous “cape” performance after a shoulder injury.
